Ummid A Hope is a group of working individuals who volunteer to raise funds in order to support underprivileged orphaned and abandoned children to better their lives and build hope. We work directly with organizations in America and India to attain this mission. We not only strive to improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged children and youth, we also celebrate their lives so that they can rise above their circumstances and realize their full potential.
Our foundation supports educational projects which grant equal opportunity to distressed children so that they can grow and become self-sufficient.

Our Team
Sonia Shahani
Founder and President
Ummid A Hope Foundation
Sonia is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister and a professional.One birthday celebration and a cake changed her view about life. After celebrating her son Sagar's 21st birthday with a group of orphan and handicap kids in Udaipur India she learned that this was their first birthday cake cutting experience.
This one celebration paved her path towards her calling and gave birth to Ummid A Hope Foundation thus starting her journey with multiple existing non profit organizations and the concept of Celebrations. Her goal is not only to celebrate their being in the world but also help support their education to build a better future.
"If your heart is in it, you just do it!” says Sonia. And this is exactly what Ummid- A Hope Foundation supporters have done and continue to do.

Charities We Support
We believe in supporting multiple projects where your donation can have a maximum impact.
With our support, we directly impact the lives of the underprivileged children of these organizations by helping them in the areas of food education clothing festival celebrations, birthday celebrations, vocational trainings, after school educational programs, and college education. We conduct different types of training for these children to help the become a well-rounded individual.
